News Bites

  1. The US and UK are trying to facilitate a truce agreement between Hamas and Israel, where there will be a 40-day ceasefire (sounds suspiciously like a “humanitarian pause” to us 👀), and Israeli hostages can be released in Gaza in exchange for Palestinians jailed in Israel

  2. The World Central Kitchen is resuming operations in Gaza since the death of 7 of their aid workers on April 1st 🕊️

  4. Over the weekend, a law passed against gay and LGBTQ+ people in Iraq, criminalizing same-sex relations with up to 15 years in prison, which has stoked local protests (with world leaders voicing their opinions too) 🏳️‍🌈
